Ganesh Mahotsav


The first five days of September were special days as they formed remarkable festive period -Ganesh Mahotsav. The school celebrated Ganesh Utsav with much fanfare and festivity. On the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, the booming beats of the dhol in sync with the clapping cymbals, welcomed Lord Ganesha. Teachers and students pulled the chariot carrying the Lord to the School Assembly Hall where the idol was installed. Each of these five evenings witnessed aarti in praise of Lord Ganesha that was followed by distribution of prasad.
On the fifth day of its installation, amidst shouts of ‘Ganpati Bappa Moriya’, the idol was carried to the bank of river Narmada. After performing aarti of the idol, it was immersed into the holy water of river Narmada, awaiting Lord’s arrival on next Ganesh Chaturthi.
