A Workshop on ‘’Teacher to Serve the Society with Selflessness’

‘Teacher to serve the society with Selflessness’ was the area of discussion for the resource person Dr. K. Subrahmanyam, the Pro-Vice Chancellor at S-VYASA (Yoga University) Bengaluru. The workshop was held at Sarvanaman Vidya Mandir, Bharuch on Wednesday, 17th July, 2013 between 11:30 am.  to 12:30 pm.
In a very short span of his speech, Sir touched almost all the core qualities that a teacher requires. He began with human psychology and quoted, ‘Fools miss opportunity, ordinary men make it, wise see it while yogis – real teachers transform difficulties or disadvantages into opportunities.
With the help of some mythological epics, Sir elucidated that the selfless service is a very great boon of a teacher. One must try to make everything for the advantage of others and be useful to the welfare of society. In this divine service, not to be self-seeking, self-centered and bodily bound but dedicate everything. Unselfishness is more paying than selfishness.
Sir, very proudly said that cultured people are seen only in teachers community in India and they are not merely preceptors but exemplifiers for the humanity. Thus, the workshop was concluded very rewardingly with the punch line that the teacher must update their knowledge and bring into the use to others and subsequently it turns into the GYAN-YAGNA.

Inter House Draw and Colour / Rangoli Competition

Drawing, Colouring and Rangoli are the main pieces of art, and it takes a lot of time and practice to become an expert in any art. They are the kind of  art each of us can easily relate to as they signify two important things, - Colours, which we Indians love and --Festivities, which we Indians enjoy with our families.
Be it any occasion, a family function, a festival or a competition at Sarvanamn Vidya Mandir, Drawing, Colouring and Rangoli were no different as they could lift the mood of every student and fetch some quick compliments. The students of Grade I to V participated in the ‘DRAW AND COLOUR COMPETITION’ and VI to X participated in the ‘RANGOLI COMPETITION’ held on July 12, 2013 in Assembly Hall. It was surely a great way to add some colour and glamour to the routine and regular life of students. The creative artists were so different in their unique ways, styles and techniques of creating their presentations. The vibrant and diverse colour combinations used were making a great reason for its exceptionality. The competition was held in different age groups and was adjudged by the experts.
The results are as given here under:
